RADIO INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSION
4-17. General
Radio interference suppression is attained by pro-
viding a low-resistance path to ground for stray cur-
rents. The methods used on the generator set in-
clude shielding the MIL-STD engine high-
frequency and ignition wires, grounding the gener-
ator set frame with bonding straps, and using radio
frequency filters composed of capacitors and
resistors.
4-18. Interference Suppression Com-
ponents
a. Primary Suppression Components. The pri-
mary suppression components are those whose pri-
mary function is to suppress radio interference.
These components are described and located in fig-
ure 4-24.
